Woman and Child with Jarousha

Contributed by Leyla Zuaiter on 23.01.2006:

This woman is posing in the Artas Folklore Center Museum with the Jarousha, formerly used to grind grain. She was a child when Louisa Baldensperger, daughter of French missionaries, known in the village as Sitt Louisa, and Hilma Granqvist, a Finnish anthropologist lived in Artas.
