Just outside the village of Mazraá al Qibliyeh lies an older apparently abandoned Arab village now almost completely buried. Villagers still find coins from various periods here.

Aromas from the traditional taboun oven, still in daily use in the village of Mazraá al Qibliyeh, wind their way down the picturesque alleyways. The women of Mazraá al Qibliyeh will happily prepare visitors a taboun-cooked meal at their request.

Khabiyeh

Some of the items collected by a village heritage enthusiast are pleasingly set off in these Khabiyehs, a combination wall-partition and storage bin once used for grain and other staples. These were poured in from the irregular openings at the top and taken out from a stoppered opening at the bottom.
