The holy skull relics belong to the monks killed by the Persian in the destructive invasion of the year 614 A.C. They were found in the archeological excavation of the year 1980-1985 in the Orthodox monastery of Shephered and tehy were kept in the altar of the underground church.(read more: PFN/Place and Regions/Place Descriptions/The Shepherds' Fields)
