AEI youth groups come to visit the Al-Khader church. Al-Khader, or the Green One, is in the Quran a mystical advisor of Musa or Moses. In Palestinian religious culture, Al-Khader is for the Christians St George, of dragon fame. Al-Khader is a small village to the south of Bethlehem. Tradition says that in the fourth century St George was here imprisoned by the Romans. In the village is an orthodox St George church which is often visited to receive blessings, especially for new-born.

Because of the building of the Separation Wall, the inhabitants risk to get cut off from their agricultural lands.
