In the Beit Jala Greek Orthodox Cemetery, most of the graves are slotted into openings in the wall, which are then covered by a memorial plaque. Newer plaques have an image of the deceased framed by ornamental stonework. Built in flower holders of angels or saints are partially covered here by flowers.
